Dear John,

       Nancy and I hope you are making good progress in your recovery from the mental problems that caused you to try to assassinate me.  The staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital assure us that you are doing just fine.

     Since I am not eligible to seek a third term in office, I am supporting George Bush in this endeavor.  We hope we can count on your support and the support of your friends, family, and fine parents.

     I hold no grudge against you, John, and I hope that should there be anything you need while at the hospital, then you will let George or me know.

     By the way, John did you know that Jesse Jackson has been making it with Jodie Foster?
